Bittersweet

Cocao from Ghana becomes exquisite Swiss chocolate. But how can the impoverished farmers share in the profit from the booming cocoa business? The Ghanaian–Swiss Yara Glover has a vision. To realize it he has returned to his native country in West Africa. Here with the production of organic cocoa, he is helping the cocoa farmers to achieve more independence and better living conditions. The film accompanies Yara as he sets up his project, for which he makes great personal sacrifices. Despite difficulties with financing and the Ghanaian authorities, he sticks to his vision, and for the first time, can finally deliver cocoa beans to a Swiss chocolate manufacturer.
