What remains

When his grandmother dies, the director enters an internal monologue that is a conversation with his rather aged grandfather. Two worlds collide: granddad’s idea of the joys of family life and happiness, and the grandson’s interpretation that family is merely a group of people with a common destiny. A poetic and touching film about the different philosophies of two generations.
